My name is Isabella Santoro and I am a 12th grader at Ponaganset High School. I have a lot of

interests but a few that stand out are my interests in reading and writing.I have always loved to

read and write and have done so ever since I was a little girl. These are my go to escapes from

reality when reality gets too harsh to deal with. It is something that comforts me and just comes

naturally. Reading a good book always helps me to destress and feel better. As for writing, there

is just something so amazing about being able to create a character all your own and creating a

whole new world that only belongs to you. I am currently not in a pathway at this year. I am,

truth be told, not a sports person, but I decided to break out of my shell and participate in tennis

for my senior year. I had always wanted to do tennis but was too scared to be involved. I am

obviously not the best and I will never be Serena Williams good but it’s pretty fun to be a part of

the tennis team. What brought me to this class was the fact that I want to be a journalist when I

am out of college. I am not sure if I want to write articles or edit more but I know that I would

want to do this when I am older. I was also drawn to this class because I love writing and I knew

this would be a good escape for me. I want to focus on interviews, book and movie reviews and

novelty pieces for the newspaper this year.
